Mages are the most versatile of all the wizards, choosing not to specialize. This allows him to deal with many situations, but their ability to learn specialized spells is limited, compared to a specialist.

A wizard can use more magical items than almost any other characters (listed below).

Weapon Proficencies:
Potential Weapons: Staves, Daggers, Darts, Slings, Knives.
Non-Weapon Proficencies: 4 discretionary
Catagories for Non-Weapon Proficencies: General or Wizard

Mage, Warmage, Elementalist, Spellsage Saving Throws

*Prime Stats – Intellect must be 9 or higher to even be a wizard, and 16 or above grants a 10% bonus to experience.

Magical Items Available – Potions, Rings, Wands, Rods, Scrolls, and Most Miscellaneous. In addition to any Magical Weapon that a wizard can generally use. (NO MAGICAL ARMORS.)

Ability to Create Magical Items – All wizards, whether mages or specialists, can create new magical items ranging from simple scrolls and potions to powerful staves and magical swords. Once he reaches 9th level, a wizard can pen magical scrolls and brew potions. He can construct more powerful magical items only after he has learned the appropriate scrolls.

Can use Cantrips at-will, in combat this uses your move for the round.
